What an exciting four months of blogging we have had since launching this blog in August 2016. We have really enjoyed the process of getting to know more about our researchers and their projects in detail. Our blog provides our research community with the opportunity to showcase their research in an easily accessible and informal forum, as well as the ability to keep up to date with the activities of the Research and Enterprise Office.
The Research and Enterprise blog is designed to showcase the research happening at the University of Stirling. Authors include representatives from the Research & Enterprise Office as well as guest contributions from the wide network external to our office, reflecting the diversity of voices and roles that contribute to the excellent work being done here. We’ve had a great array of posts since we launched in September, with our two most read posts being the reflection of a PhD by publication by Michelle Beattie and the visit from RCUK on their new grants delivery service by Lauren Wilson.
The Research and Enterprise office have had a busy 2016, with a number of successes throughout the year including a winning poster at the ARMA conference in June; the launch of the Student Enterprise programme; a visit from UKRO; two PhD Successes and the development of Researcher Resources and the Research Hub Project.
We look forward to what 2017 has to bring including more interesting and exciting blog posts, the new Peer Review College to be implemented in January and the activities around the lead up to REF.
Please contact us if you would like to write a post or have ideas for topics you would like us to cover.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very merry festive period and hope that you are able to enjoy a well earned break while trying not to over indulge too much.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year,
Your colleagues in the Research and Enterprise Office
